Ron Paul

On may 30, 2008, I attended the Minnesota State Republican Convention in Rochester Minnesota. The State Republican Party had banned Republican Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul from the convention floor. That morning I watched him speak in a park across the street from the convention, and had the privilege of meeting him outside the convention floor. Thanks to Tim Utz for the photo. I know it looks like I photoshopped myself in, but its the real deal. |

In the Fall of 2008, Tim Utz, republican candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives and strong Ron Paul supporter, held a fundraiser in Columbia Heights. Ron Paul was in town and was kind enough to speak at the fundraiser, and to pose for photos with attendees including my sons John on the left and Anthony on the right. |
Mad Dog Vachon

In May of 2003, I had the privilege of meeting Mad Dog Vachon at a professional wrestling show at Fridley High School. He had a wry sense of humor and speaks french fluently. Mad-Dog wrestled 13,000 matches in a career beginning as an amateur in Canada in the 1940s, and represented Canada in the 1948 Olympics, finishing 7th. He still travels from state to state signing posters and t-shirts. |
