Suffolk, to wit:

To the sheriff of said County of Suffolk, his Deputies, the Officers of the Court hereinafter named, and the Warden of the State Prison in Boston in said County of Suffolk.

Greeting:

Whereas, by the consideration of the Superior Court holden at Boston within and for the County of Suffolk, for the transaction of Criminal Business, on the fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven Charles Ponzi

now in custody of the Sheriff of said County of Suffolk, convict of the crimes of three distinct larcenies in the same sitting of the Court by reason of which he was adjudged a common and notorious thief,

committed at said Boston, was sentenced to be confined in said State Prison for a term of not more than nine years and not less than seven years, the first day of said term to be in solitary imprisonment and the residue thereof to be at hard labor and to stand committed in pursuance of said sentence.

We, therefore, command you, the said Sheriff, Deputies and Officers of said Court, to remove the said Ponzi from the Jail in Boston in the said County of Suffolk, to the State Prison in Boston in the said County of Suffolk; and we command you, the Warden of said State prison, to receive the said Ponzi to be confined therein for a term on not more than nine years and not less than seven years, the first day of said term to be in solitary imprisonment and the residue thereof to be at hard labor;

And for so doing this shall be your warrant; and you said Sheriffs and Officers are to make return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the office of the Clerk of said Superior Court in Boston as soon as may be.
